Rectory Road : Icing
Following minor accidents on Rectory Road near St Nicolas Church the Parish Council have, in collaboration with County Councillor Dev Dhillon, raised the funding to install a salt bin close to the affected area. The Parish Council will, at its discretion, keep the bin filled with salt but salt spreading will be a matter for the public.
The Barn on the Green
Following concerns from St Nicolas School, the Parish Council are investigating improvements to the barn on the green, in collaboration with the other joint owners.
Defibrillators
Taplow Parish Council are looking for suitable places to install defibrillators. Suggestions welcome. Please write to Parish Clerk Hilda Holder at taplow.pc@gmail.com
Planning
A4 Cycleway
The proposed cycleway scheme along the A4 in Taplow has been withdrawn after extensive objections, It is withdrawn for re-assessment, not yet cancelled.
Royal Borough Local Plan Draft
We have raised objections to this over the lack of infrastructure development to support 14,000 new house. Taplow A4 traffic is expected to be heavily affected.
Thames Riviera Hotel
The Parish Council have objected to an application to convert Thames Riviera Hotel to apartments. The proposed changes facing Taplow are thought to be quite out of keeping with the existing building and the Maidenhead Bridge setting.
Mill Lane
The Parish Council have raised concerns over an application from Berkeley Homes relating to the long term management of the open spaces within the development.
